Tutorial Tuesday-Treat in a Can

Happy Tutorial Tuesday!! Here is a cute treat box idea that isn't just another box. For this project you will need a smooth edge can opener. It's a super cute project and is a lot of fun to make....so let get started. (some of the pictures are a little fuzzy, sorry about that)

Supplies you'll need are: a can with a pop top, I'm using the small, single serving fruit cocktail cans. My paper measures 8x 1 3/4, but depending on the size of you can this will vary-measure first! I'm also using some simply scrapping pieces. Ribbon to embellish it. And of course your surprise for the inside. I'm using cookies in a cello bag, candy would be fun, little toys if they're for kiddos, the list can go on and on.

The first thing to do is cut off the BOTTOM of the can with a SMOOTH EDGE CAN OPENER. These can openers are the only ones that leave the lid big enough to glue back on to the can when we're ready for that. Make sure to clean out your can really well and remove the label.

Put sticky strip on the paper that your covering your can with and glue to your can.

Embellish as you desire. I kept mine relatively simple, you could add more ribbon, glitter, eyelets , brads, whatever you want.

Stick your treat into the can, top side down. Remember that the recipient of the can will open it through the pull tab on top so if your gift has a top and bottom, make sure that the bottom is facing up during this step--does that make any sense at all??

Put a little crystal effects on the lid and glue it back to the can to seal it. You're done. Time to give it to the lucky, lucky person who will get this wonderful gift.

Here is is opened. Super cute and easy!

Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow!
